AlgaBloom Technologies presents a low-cost, turnkey biofarming solution.
AlgaBioreactor TM from AlgaBloom enables large-scale microalgae farming in a controlled environment, while remaining affordable to a wide range of users. These bioreactors can be easily deployed on land, floated on calm waters, or suspended from green-house trusses. To maximize exposure to sunlight, a solar reflector is placed underneath the channel. At night, artificial light can be provided by LED’s.
After cultivation and harvesting, oil extraction and processing of algae, when necessary, can be achieved from a patented process.

AlgaBioreactor channel is shaped by heavy-duty durable (15+ yrs) plastic sheet that supports an AlgaBag. The system combines with an AlgaHarvestor to form a turnkey microalgae farming solution that operates with low-energy input for both sparging, agitation and harvesting. When necessary, a low-energy, highly efficient oil extraction (no chemicals) may be provided for continuous or batch bio-farming.
The AlgaBioreactor (ABR100) is an elevated, shapable, height – adjustable PBR made of durable, translucent material with an integrated temperature control system. A solar reflector directs 20% additional light. Patents Pending.
AlgaBagTM (patent pending) is a disposable liner for the AlgaBioreactor that incorporates its own sparger tube. Cell density tests comparing an AlgaBag with a control glass container, both inoculated with Golden Chlorella, resulted in comparable density levels. With a temperature control system and an ultra-low-energy wave generator, the combination AlgaBioreactor/ AlgaBagTM provides an effective, low-cost microalgae farming solution.

The AlgaBioreactor™ is an elevated, shapable, height-adjustable Photo bioreactor (PBR) made of a durable, semi-rigid material with an integrated temperature control system. It operates both with a seal-able cover or a sterile bag. A solar reflector brings in an additional 20% more light.
In outdoor tests, cell density in an AlgaBioreactor™ and in a control
bubble column PBR inoculated with e.g. microalgae Isochrysis sp
showed that both attain the same density level (2.2 x 107 cell/mL).
Reducing complexity and costs of PBRs without loss of quality will make microalgae farming more accessible, worldwide.
The AlgaBag™ is a liner of the AlgaBioreactor™. It incorporates its own sparger tube and prevents both internal and external contamination.
Recent cell density tests comparing an AlgaBag™ to a control glass container inoculated with Golden Chlorella showed that with more optimization, the AlgaBag™ will outperform glass pipes in both cell density and lipid content due to its proprietary design.
These advantages added to temperature control and use of a low-energy wave generator make the combined AlgaBag™ / AlgaBioreactor™ an effective, low-cost microalgae farming technology.
